New “San Marzano” type hybrid tomato variety with high tolerance to blossom-end rot, very attractive fruits of a lovely colour at the turning stage and excellent bright red when fully mature. Fruits are cylindrical in shape with strong shoulders, a uniform large size of 11 cm long and 4-4.5 cm in diameter with an average weight of 140-160 g. IONICO plants have a very generative open habit, with constant fruit setting throughout the production cycle. Very good performance in spring-summer crops as well winter crops. Grafting is recommended
especially in winter crops, using GOLDRAKE rootstock to guarantee uniform and large fruit size even on upper clusters
